On December 5<sup>th<\/sup>, it was announced that <a href=\"https:\/\/potterspotter.com\/?p=1606\">Warner Bros. would merge with Netflix<\/a> for $82.7 billion. Shortly after the acquisition agreement was published, Paramount released a statement opposing the merger. Discovery board submitted its own recommendation to move forward with the Netflix merger agreement. Discovery stockholders and is not expected to close for 12-18 months. Before the Warner Bros. and Netflix merger, Warner Bros. and Discovery Global must separate. Only after approval and separation may Netflix officially own Warner Bros.
