     According to Deadline<\/a>, Essiedu and HBO are closing their deal for the HBO Harry Potter Series, releasing in 2026\/2027. The actor was previously speculated to have been offered the role, but negotiations were not confirmed. This news comes just over one week after John Lithgow confirmed his role as Professor Dumbledore.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
