\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0 Discover Universal<\/a> has announced a slew of new additions to Halloween Horror Nights 2025, including a brand-new experience for the event. Universal Orlando <\/a>has revealed eight of their ten haunted houses, four scare zones, two confirmed live entertainment options, and two new experiences. Meanwhile, Universal Hollywood<\/a> lags behind with only four of their eight houses announced so far. With Halloween Horror Nights Orlando beginning on August 29th<\/sup> (or August 28th<\/sup> for Premium Scream Night), final announcements should be ramping up. Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood starts a few days after, on September 4th<\/sup>, and does not offer Premium Scream Night.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Haunted Houses<\/u><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Orlando<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Universal Orlando usually divides its haunted house lineup evenly between pre-existing brands (IPs) and original concepts, which seems to hold true this year. Of the announced houses, three are based on existing IPs: \u201cFallout,\u201d \u201cJason Universe,\u201d and \u201cTerrifier,\u201d while five are original: \u201cEl Artista: A Spanish Haunting,\u201d \u201cHatchet and Chains: Demon Bounty Hunters,\u201d \u201cDolls: Let\u2019s Play Dead,\u201d \u201cGrave of Flesh,\u201d and \u201cG\u00e1lkn: Monsters of the North\u201d. IP Houses<\/u><\/u><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Fallout<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Taking place two hundred years after nuclear war wrecked our world, follow Lucy as she travels through vaults and escapes numerous enemies on her way to the wasteland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jason Universe<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Enter Camp Crystal Lake with the return of Jason as he chases you through the camp woods to the iconic shack. Jason Universe will soon see new installments with Peacock\u2019s \u201cCrystal Lake,\u201d releasing in 2026, and a short film titled \u201cSweet Revenge,\u201d which will premiere on August 13th<\/sup>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Yee-haw! Head to the Old West, where lava demons are taking over the town. Follow Hatchet and Chains as they drag these devils back to Hell\u2019s Well.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Hollywood<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Hollywood includes the same three IP-based houses, but none of the original houses. The only original house announced is \u201cMonstrous 3: The Ghosts of Latin America\u201d. \u201cMonstrous\u201d explores the myths of La Llorona, La Muelona, La Siguanaba, and La Muerte.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Unfortunately, as neither Universal Hollywood nor Discover Universal has announced anything further for Hollywood, no additional features will be discussed from here.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Scare Zones<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Moving back to the East Coast, Universal Orlando has plenty more announcements to review. Before you get the victory of touring one of Orlando\u2019s haunted houses, you must first traverse at least one scare zone. \u201cThe Origins of Horror\u201d, \u201cMasquerade: Dance with Death\u201d, \u201cThe Cat Lady of Crooked Lane\u201d, and \u201cMutations: Toxic Twenties\u201d have been announced. Last year’s event included five scare zones, but this year will feature new street experiences.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Halloween Horror Nights Orlando Scare Zones<\/sub><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     Each scare zone has unique settings and creatures you must confront to get through the event. \u201cThe Origins of Horror\u201d will be an old conservatory with vines, crows, and gargoyles. \u201cMasquerade: Dance with Death\u201d will take you to a vampire-run masquerade ball. \u201cThe Cat Lady of Crooked Lane\u201d embodies the trick in trick-or-treat as guests are turned into cats. \u201cMutations: Toxic Twenties\u201d follows the radioactive mayhem that erupts after a car crash leads to toxic mutation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Live Entertainment<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     \u201cNightmare Fuel: Circus of Decay\u201d and \u201cHaunt-O-Phonic: A Ghoulish Journey\u201d have been announced for the event, but little has been updated regarding the entertainment. \u201cNightmare Fuel\u201d will be circus themed, and \u201cHaunt-O-Phonic\u201d is a water show at the lagoon.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

ALL-NEW Street Experiences<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

     In addition to the usual haunted houses and scare zones, Discover Universal announced Street Experiences. As these are new features, details are sparse. We can confirm that at least two Street Experiences will take place at Mel\u2019s Die-In, featuring zombie carhops and Club Horror, likely themed to undead DJs. Due to a comment made by Discover Universal<\/a> back in early June regarding \u201cFive Nights at Freddy\u2019s,\u201d we can speculate that this new set of experiences will be how the franchise will be utilized this year. In the trailer for “Five Nights at Freddy’s 2,” the new Freddy animatronic is seen outside of the usual Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza establishment, making the street experience more plausible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
