Another day, another Harry Potter rumor, this time for Rubeus Hagrid. Deadline reports that Nick Frost is in negotiations to play our favorite half-giant in HBO’s Harry Potter series. The series is slated to begin production this summer, with an expected release in 2026 or 2027. This comes after confirmations of John Lithgow’s and Paapa Essiedu’s casting as Professor Dumbledore and Professor Snape. Janet McTeer is reportedly in negotiations for the role of Professor McGonagall as well. In the meantime, Frost will be on the big screen this June as Gobber in the live-action How to Train Your Dragon film.
